EDWARD DAVENPORT
Edward Davenport,
who has been at John Jay since 1974, received his A.B., A.M., and Ph.D.
degrees from Harvard. He teaches writing courses for the SEEK Department
and literature courses for the English Department. He has also taught
more than 40 independent study courses in literature, including Fantastic
Fictions, Feminism and Literature, Russian Fiction in translation, and
Religion and Literature. His special field is theory of literature on
which he has published more than a dozen articles and reviews. He is
also secretary of the John Jay Faculty Senate and began writing the
Senate Minutes in 1986.
