KELLY JEONG


Professor Jeong received her M.A. and Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the University of California, Los Angeles. Her research and teaching interests include modern Korean literature and cinema, questions of the nation, gender, and modernity, Asian American literature, East Asian contemporary cinema and popular culture, and postcolonial theories. Professor Jeong is working on turning her dissertation, “Multiple Beginnings: Crisis of Gender, Masculinity, Nationhood, and Many Arrivals of Modernity in Modern Korean Literature and Cinema” into a book.
