The Women's Center
The Women's Center at John Jay was established in 1993. The Women's Center provides individual counseling services and sponsors
support groups to address a series
of personal issues including: building healthy relationships,
dealing with family and relationship violence, the special challenges faced by student parents, confronting rape and sexual assault,
coping with financial burdens and public assistance,
and exploring women's health, reproductive rights, and safer sex practices. The Women's Center
also organizes a series of cultural and educational programs on women's issues each year, working closely with student clubs, faculty members and
administrative offices. A month of activities in celebration of Women's History Month takes place in March.
