Women in America syllabus
Carmella
Marrone has a Bachelors Degree in Sociology and Women’s Studies, and an MA in
Applied Social Research from Queens College/CUNY. She is currently enrolled in
the doctoral program in Sociology at the CUNY Graduate School and University
Center.
For
the past three years Ms. Marrone has directed and taught in the “Women and Work
Program,” an innovative job- and life-skills training program for women who
have experienced life crises.
Ms.
Marrone is a certified rape crisis counselor, and has served as a rape crisis
advocate to the Mt. Sinai Sexual Assault and Violence Intervention program
(SAVI) for several years.
