Jo-Ann
Della-Giustina has been teaching in the Sociology Department since 2001. She
also teaches Introduction to Criminal Justice in the Government Department at
John Jay College. She earned a B.A. in women’s studies from Clark University,
an M.A. in Interdisciplinary Arts Education from Columbia College Chicago, and
a J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law. Currently, she is a doctoral candidate
in the Criminal Justice program at the City University of New York Graduate
Center, where she is conducting research on community risk factors of intimate
partner femicide. Her areas of research interest include women and crime,
domestic violence, community issues and crime, search and seizure law, and
media and the law.
