The mission of Instructional Technology Support Services (ITSS), a division of the Department of Information Technology (DoIT), is to lead in the development and deployment of new educational technology and to provide the training required to effectively integrate technology into the instructional program.
 
Instructional Technology Support Services maintains general access computing labs, administers web servers for department and faculty course materials, and provides technical support for the creation of instructional materials on the WWW. Every semester, ITSS presents a series of hands-on training workshops and demonstrations on a variety of computing topics for faculty, staff and students.

John Jay College and Enterprise Training Solutions have made My SkillSource, a dynamic training site, available to the John Jay College Community. Training and reference material is available to faculty, staff and students 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This program can be accessed at home, on campus, or wherever you have a computer with an Internet connection. In order to better serve the needs of the John Jay Community, during the past year, ITSS introduced (1) the "Mobile Computer Lab" onto campus to enhance classroom instruction, and (2) the "Laptop Loaner Program" to provide computers for short term use to JJC students. Another initiative, Software Support Consultations is available at ITSS to faculty and full-time staff on Fridays and Saturdays, by appointment.
