Below you will find a variety of resources available to you for your professional and personal growth in the technology field. Take advantage of the wide array of workshops, demonstrations, lunch and learn session, or consultations and more available to you here at John Jay College.
   

Lunch and Learn is a training session that is scheduled during the lunch hour. Employees attending to the lunch and learn session will bring their own lunch and learn about a new or existing applications in the technology field or learn about a specific department of the college.

e-Training is available to John Jay faculty and staff 24 hours a day, seven days a week, this progressive way to train includes access to hundreds of online courses and digitized books. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or an expert, e-Training at John Jay has something for you.

Workshops are given by staff members at ITSS and cover applications that are in use by the John Jay faculty/staff/and student body. The  workshops are hands-on and are held in a computer equipped room for participants to apply what is being taught in the session. Workshops cover applications ranging from MS Word to SPSS.

Demonstrations are training sessions for the John Jay faculty/staff/and student body that cover specific areas within applications. Demonstrations are not hands-on

Announced Walk-In Session provides walk-in assistance to the John Jay faculty/staff/and student body on topics ranging from multimedia to using a USB flash drive. Participants attending the session may walk in and learn on certain aspects of the session offered or the whole process. Questions are answered in regards to the session in question.

Consultations cover a particular topic, faculty and staff can email requests to itss@jjay.cuny.edu or call ext.8045 and speak to Margaret Murphy. The Training desk @ ITSS customizes a computer training session specifically focusing on those needs important to you or your members. consultations are arranged at a time mutually convenient. : Consultations
Training Courses covers a particular software aplication and is taught over an extended period of time.
