Students who only want the CASAC education and are not pursuing an academic degree can attend the program as non-degree students. If you do decide to earn a college degree, these courses each provide 3 academic credits.

Registration for Courses
Please note that non-degree students must complete the required prerequisites to register for 200-level courses and above. For 200-level these prerequisites are English 101, and Psychology 101. For 300- and 400-level courses, English 102 is additionally required. Non-degree students with college credits may fulfill these requirements if they have passed these courses at their prior college. Additional prerequisites for specific courses are listed in the Education and Training Requirements Listing and in the college catalog.
Non-degree students must register in person on the
last day of registration or follow the new procedure:

The Registrar has provided ASP students a streamlined procedure for allowing non-degree students to register early and efficiently.
1. You must be officially admitted to the college. (Submit application to admissions as non-degree student and be formally accepted.)
2. At least 2 weeks before registration begins, determine which ASP courses you want to take.
3. Determine whether you have completed all necessary prerequisites. (See course descriptions in college catalog.)
4. Obtain transcripts verifying the prerequisites.
