The Addiction Studies Program Minor at John Jay College of Criminal Justice

 

The Addiction Studies Minor can be obtained by completing 6 of the

following courses dealing with addiction:

 

1. PSY/SOC/ANT 110.Drug and Alcohol Use and Abuse in America.

2. PSY 266. Psychology of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse.

3. SOC 161. Chemical Dependency and the Dysfunctional Family

4. PSY 268. Therapeutic Interventions in Chemical Dependency.

5. PSY 255. Group Dynamics In Chemical Dependency Counseling.

6. PSY/CSL 331. Assessment and Clinical Evaluation in Chemical Dependency

Counseling

7.  PSY/CSL 350. Advanced Topics in Chemical Dependency Counseling.

8.  PSY 480. Ethical and Professional Issues in Chemical Dependency

Counseling.

 

Instructions:

After completing the courses (or while taking the last ones), obtain the Declaration of Minor form from the Registrar, fill out the form, print out your transcript, circle the Addiction Studies Courses, and submit to Professor Yalisove.
