FRC 101 is a course designed to provide a meaningful framework for helping
students view the interrelationships between the variety of disciplines
students will meet in a general liberal arts core.
Further, the course is designed to allow students to critically analyze
the social, cultural and personal factors that influence their academic
progress. The course content emphasizes the use of written and oral expression
in the critical investigation of the higher education degree requirements,
related to both specific and general career goals. This course includes
the study of self awareness, problem solving and decision making techniques
in clarifying goals for good academic performance and selection of a career.
Class sessions are devoted to enhancing learning skills and strategies
for note taking and lecture comprehension. 3 hours, 3 credits.
