Aristotle, 384-332 B.C.E.
Unlike his teacher, Plato, Aristotle did not believe in the world of ideal forms.
Founded his own school, the Lyceum.
Analysis and classification would lead people to the truth about nature.
Therefore, analysis and classification are at the heart of his philosophy.
He had wide-ranging interests and investigations: ethics, logic, politics, poetry, astronomy, geology, biology, rhetoric, drama, and physics.
