A college with famous professors will have higher enrollment than one with well-equipped labs and mediocre professors. Students want to be taught by the best professors the country can offer and to be inspired by their exceptional abilities. I have read in an article that enrollment in the physics department of Darelton College increased significantly after a distinguished professor of physics joined the faculty there. Since renowned professors have accomplished so much and are well-versed in their field, they can easily acquire research grants and involve their students in a variety of exciting research projects. For students to be mentored by such famous teachers is greatly rewarding, and many would want to enroll in a college that has famous professors on its staff. That is why it is necessary for our college to hire these brilliant teachers. No doubt that the prospect of learning from well-known professors will be appealing to many applicants, and enrollment will increase dramatically.
