In order for teachers to increase their use of computers, they must first be given computer training courses. One course that would encourage expanded computer use among teachers would be a training course on how to use computers to create and grade tests. In the last few years, testing has become an important focus of education. However, creating good tests, grading, and recording the results can be very time consuming. (1) As a result, instructors are left with little time to devote to each student's individual needs. However, if teachers were given a training course on how to create and grade tests, then they would see the benefits of this technology and soon begin using computers more often. (2) This time saver would allow instructors to spend more time attending to students who are in need of individual assistance. The successful use of computers to grade tests would in turn encourage instructors to look for other ways to use computers.
