About the E-Resource Web Site

The E-Resource Website is designed to help non-native English-speaking John Jay students improve their academic writing skills; pass the CUNY-ACT exams; develop better study skills; and understand concepts and content taught in three core courses.

The site features

  • dynamic, interactive, and visually appealing exercises that provide instruction and practice in accessible language;
  • hints and tips that offer assistance and guidance;
  • and explanatory feedback that reinforces learning.
The site's content and required skills level make the exercises suitable for English language learners as well as native English speakers. The exercises can be used in class to introduce or review concepts and to demonstrate and practice skills. They can also be assigned for self-study.
