Today, most schools providing sex education programs in order to teach students the basic facts of sexuality. Teachers explain to young people such fundamental aspects of sexuality as the growth of the body and the changes that it goes through. They discuss with their students about the reproductive mechanism. And also how pregnancy can be avoided through contraceptives or abstinence - not having sex. Offering sex education in U.S. schools seems appropriate. Because many teenagers have sex before they reach the age of eighteen. Studies show that half of teenage boys have sex when they reach sixteen, and half of girls engage in sex when they are seventeen. However, critics claim that the expansion of sex education programs might have made the problem worse the percentage of teenagers practicing sex has actually increased. This fact seems to imply that when teenagers learn about sex, they are tempted to become sexually active sooner. Another argument that critics of sex education present is that parents, not schools, should instruct their kids about sex. They say that parents are better suited to the task. Since unlike schools they can instruct their children about their beliefs in what is right and wrong.
