Welcome to the E-Resource Center at John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Our virtual resource center offers advice and practice with academic English to John Jay students whose first language is not English. We also offer our expertise and resources to John Jay faculty who are teaching non-native English speaking students.



Writing Tutorials: This section helps you through the process of writing persuasive essays and research papers in APA format.

  Grammar Tutorials: This section helps you improve your grammar and editing for better accuracy.

  ACT Test Tutorials: This section helps you develop specific ACT reading and writing skills and provides practice tests for the CUNY-ACT Reading and Writing exams.

  101 Course Tutorials: This section helps you read your textbook efficiently, and understand key concepts and themes in Criminal Justice 101, Government 101 and Sociology 101.

  Faculty Resources: This section is for John Jay faculty members who would like to know more about teaching non-native English speaking students or would like to refer students to our Center for English Language Support.
