Fire Science 292: Sprinkler and Standpipe Systems

A study of the design and operation of automatic sprinkler and standpipe systems is conducted. System components such as sprinkler heads, hose valves, piping, and fire pumps are identified and discussed. Hydraulic system designs are explored through the use of manual calculation techniques and computer programs. 3 hours, 3 credits.
