A pioneer in the fields of physical education and athletics, Dr. Susan Larkin serves as John Jay College Director of Athletics and chairperson of the Department of Physical Education & Athletics. With over twenty-seven years of experience in the City University of New York, she currently is the conference’s senior athletics director. After receiving her B.A. from Newton College of the Sacred Heart, Dr. Larkin served as a physical education instructor at the C.W. Post Center of Long Island University. She embarked on her career at John Jay as a physical education instructor before assuming the position of executive assistant to the vice president. Dr. Larkin received an M.A. in physical education from Columbia University, an M.A. in English Literature from C.W. Post and a Ph.D. in English literature from NYU. <back
