PROFESSOR O'HARA'S MISSION*

Every day I work, I pledge to devote:

All of my energies,

for all of my students,

all of the time.

Now that sounds nice, but here is what I mean to do:

--I will build every class around what students need to get ahead.

--I will always partner with students, asking feedback for each course.

--I will write only articles with practical applications to student careers.

--I will sit only on committees directly concerned with student learning.

--I will always bring to faculty discussions a focus on student learning.

--I will always emphasize student impact in administrative discussions.
